PEEK (polyetheretherketone) can be used continuously to 480°F (250°C) and in hot water or steam without permanent loss in physical properties. For chemically hostile environments, PEEK is a much higher strength alternative to fluoropolymers. PEEK carries a V-O flammability rating and exhibits very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame. PEEK also has low moisture absorption and inherently good abrasion & wear resistance. Available in Natural and Black.

Adding 30% Glass fiber to PEEK significantly reduces the expansion rate than that of unreinforced PEEK. It also has excellent deformation under load characteristics and a high flexural modulus. This grade is ideal for structural applications that require improved strength, stiffness or stability, especially at temperatures above 300°F (150°C). Also available in 40% Glass filled. The addition of carbon fibers enhances the compressive strength and stiffness of PEEK, and dramatically lowers its expansion rate. It also offers designers optimum wear resistance and load carrying capability in a PEEK-based product. Carbon Filled PEEK provides a 3 1/2 times higher level of thermal conductivity than unreinforced PEEK, increasing heat dissipation from bearing surfaces which improves bearing life and capability. Also available in 40% Carbon filled. Call for details.

PEEK 5025 is a proprietary, self lubricating bearing grade PEEK, reinforced with carbon fibers and other internal lubricants which maximize the Tribological properties of this premium bearing grade composite. PEEK 5025 exhibits the same mechanical properties as 30% CF PEEK, but the friction and wear properties of the 5025 are significantly better than any other Bearing Grade PEEK on the market.

PEEK 5035 is a proprietary lubricated PEEK (polyetheretherketone) material. Very similar to PEEK 5025, this material is specifically designed for wear rings, rider bands and pis-ton rings in reciprocating compressors for use in lubricated or non-lubricated conditions.
