Custom PTFE & Teflon® Pump & Valve Components

Advanced Industrial is a premier manufacturer of high-performance, precision-machined PTFE pump and valve components. Engineered for maximum reliability in critical service, our components provide exceptional sealing, chemical resistance, and operational life. We machine custom pump and valve parts for a wide range of industries, from standard components to complex, tight-tolerance geometries.

What Are Pump & Valve Components?

Pump and valve components are the internal parts that control, seal, and manage the flow of media (liquids, gases, or slurries) within a system. This includes components like diaphragms, seals, gaskets, seats, and bushings. The performance of the entire system depends on the durability and integrity of these parts.

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), often known by the brand name Teflon®, is a preferred material for its unique combination of properties. Its universal chemical inertness, wide operating temperature range, and low coefficient of friction make it an ideal choice for the most aggressive and demanding environments.

Common PTFE Pump & Valve Components

We machine a wide variety of custom components from Virgin and filled grades of PTFE. Our expertise allows us to hold tight tolerances for reliable sealing and performance.

PTFE Materials for Pump & Valve Components

The choice of PTFE grade is essential for component performance. While Virgin PTFE is suitable for many applications, filled grades offer enhanced mechanical properties like wear resistance, load-bearing capacity, and reduced creep (cold flow). We machine components from various PTFE grades to meet your specific operational requirements.

Material Grade Key Properties & Characteristics Common Pump & Valve Applications
Virgin Grade PTFE Excellent chemical resistance, lowest friction, FDA compliant. Softer than filled grades. Food & beverage, medical, pharmaceutical, and high-purity chemical applications. Gaskets, seals, liners.
Glass-Filled PTFE (15-25%) Enhanced compressive strength and wear resistance. Reduced creep. Good chemical stability (Note: not for strong alkalis or HF). Valve seats, pump housings, and components for water, steam, and chemical processing.
Carbon-Filled PTFE Excellent compressive strength, good thermal conductivity, and wear resistance. Electrically conductive. High-speed dynamic applications. Bushings, seals, and components for non-oxidizing chemicals.
Bronze-Filled PTFE (Up to 60%) Greatly improved compressive strength and wear resistance. High thermal conductivity. Hydraulic systems, wear rings, and bearings in pumps. High-load, slow-speed applications.
